About IDMAA
IDMAA stands for In-Depth Manuals And Answers. We publish step-by-step guides for Windows 11 and Windows 10, written for people who want to fix one thing and get back to work.
What we cover
Settings, devices and drivers, the desktop and keyboard shortcuts, files and folders, and the apps that come with Windows. Each guide deals with one problem or one task, and the version differences between Windows 11 and Windows 10 are stated where they matter.
How a guide is written
Every step is a key press, a menu path or a command, so you can follow the guide from the text alone. Before a guide is published, each step is checked against Microsoft's documentation or the documentation of the maker of the device or program. Steps we cannot confirm are left out rather than guessed.
Keeping guides current
Windows changes with each update. The date on a guide is the date its steps were last written or changed; we do not change the date otherwise. If a step no longer matches your version of Windows, tell us through the Contact page and we will check it and correct the guide.
Who we are
Guides are published by the IDMAA Editorial Team and carry no individual bylines. We do not sell software, offer downloads or provide paid support.
